TVD krijgt eerste lesbische stel in serie

In seizoen 7 zal er een lesbische vampier-stel naar Mystic Falls komen!

Now that Nina Dobrev is out of the “Vampire Diaries” picture — a fact which we eventually hope to accept, but don’t count on it — the showrunners are ready to shake things up in the hopes of salvaging the series to run beyond Season 7, even without its long-time leading gal.

And what better way to embrace the day than to bring in a new pair of badass lovers who just so happen to be ladies? Now we’re talkin’ (and raising the roof like mad because GO GO GO).

Yas! According to TV Line, there’ll be some fresh blood in Mystic Falls when the show returns this autumn, and among the trio of newbs are Nora and Mary Louise, the series’ very first same-sex couple.

Apparently, the two vamps are a pair of no-fuss-no-muss fangbearers who’ve been living and loving in secret for almost a century — something the Salvatore Brothers should be able to empathize with. (Maybe?!)

Mary Louise is said to be the lovey-doveyer of the two, while Nora’s more of a spitfire who doesn’t want to be smothered. But they’re still a team in more ways than one, which means don’t even try and step. Lest ye be handled. [Insert the obligatory Damon wit zinger here.] This is gonna be so good, we can already picture it.

The other add-on for the next round of undead fun and games is also a female vampire – only her name is Valerie, and she sports a dark sense of humor as a defense mechanism until someone in town reminds her of cheerier days gone by. Hmmm — we wonder who that might be?

We’ll find out soon enough when “TVD” returns to The CW on Thursday, Oct. 8.
