The Vampire Diaries seizoen 8 staat ineens op Netflix en fans zijn er ontzettend blij mee. Het seizoen is in een keer aan het aanbod van Netflix toegevoegd, wat betekent dat je lekker kunt bingewatchen. Yaaas!

Het vijfde seizoen van The Originals is ook al te zien op Netflix vanaf eind april verschijnt er regelmatig een nieuwe aflevering op de streamingsdienst. Dit komt door een samenwerking van The CW met Netflix, waardoor series eerder wereldwijd op de streamingsdienst te zien zijn!

De sieradenlijn Collective Journeys van Candice is officieel gelanceerd, ter promotie van de sieraden kan je nu de armbanden van de maand mei en juni voor de prijs van één kopen. Kat is begonnen met de opnames van haar nieuwste film “The Poison Rose.”, een thriller waarin ze de dochter van Morgan Freeman’s personage zal spelen.

Younger is getting an exciting new addition when it returns in June. After playing Hilary Duff’s onscreen love interest/rival, Zane, during season four, Charles Michael Davis will be returning as a series regular for the upcoming season. Of course, the switch from guest star to series regular is certainly bittersweet for the 33-year-old actor. After playing Marcel on The Originals for five seasons, The CW series is officially coming to an end this year.

We had a chance to sit down with Davis during a press junket for Younger, and he admitted that it’s been “a mix of emotions” saying goodbye to the beloved series. “I remember when I was doing up front for The Originals and Matt Lanter was coming off of 90210, and he would sit in interviews like this, and they would ask him ‘What’s it like now that you have this other show, this new show?’ And all he could talk about was he spent five years with this group of people and he hadn’t had time to sort of mourn and adjust and change,” he said.

Luckily, Davis knew it was going to be The Originals’s last season, so he was able to make the best of it. “When I came over to Younger it was kind of nice to know that that was in the past, let that go, and have a new cast and appreciate them,” he added. “And I grow to appreciate them more and more. At first, it was kind of like comparing. It’s like when you go from high school to college and it was like who’s going to be your new best friend, but they’re all so charming and great personalities. It’s nice to get pulled into a new world and have something new to discover as opposed to sit unemployed wondering if I’ll ever act again.”

Daniel heeft een interview gehad met Meaww.com om waarin het heeft over ‘The Originals’, hierbij laat hij ook weten dat de series laatste aflevering zal dienen als een zogenoemde ‘backdoor’ pilot voor de nieuwe spin-off ‘Legacies’.

It is a strange time to be a fan of The CW’s ‘The Originals.’ On the one hand, we are heartbroken over the supernatural drama coming to an end, but on the other, season 5 is probably the best one since the show’s premiere in 2013.

Daniel Gillies, the star of the show, believes this to be true. He calls the current story arch, the one where his character Elijah Mikaelson has forgotten all about his past and his identity, to be the best one on the show so far. “What is fascinating about this story arc is that it questions the very fabric of the show. It questions the absolute lynchpin that has determined the whole narrative of the Original family,” he tells Meaww.

As an actor, Daniel gets to completely deconstruct Elijah and build him back up again. A man who had data and information. “To lose him completely and the substantial torment of the past millennia and all of his artifice and all of this being that he has forged around himself, it’s been really, really fascinating for me. This one, head and shoulders has been the most interesting story arch,” he reveals.
