Actrice Karen Davis heeft een terugkerende rol gescoord in ‘Legacies’, ze zal de rol van heks Emma Tig op zich nemen die een soort van vertrouwenspersoon zal zijn op de Salvatore School.

Galavant alum Karen David has booked a season-long arc on the CW’s upcoming Legacies, the next chapter of The Vampire Diaries/The Originals trilogy from executive producer-writer Julie Plec.

Legacies tells the story of the next generation of supernatural beings at the Salvatore School for the Young and Gifted, where 17-year-old Hope Mikaelson (Danielle Rose Russell) and others come of age in the most unconventional way possible, nurtured to be their best selves — in spite of their worst impulses — all under the watchful eye of headmaster Alaric Saltzman (Matthew Davis).

David will play Emma Tig. A beautiful witch-turned-guidance counselor, she is the moral support and shoulder to cry on for all the students at the Salvatore School, even if the person who needs her therapy the most (the headmaster) remains an elusive patient.

Plec co-writes and executive produces with Brett Matthews. Leslie Morganstein and Gina Girolamo also executive produce. Legacies is produced by Warner Bros. Television and CBS Television Studios, in association with My So-Called Television and Alloy Entertainment.

David is best known for her series-regular role of Princess Isabella on Galavant and her season-long arc as Princess Jasmine on Once Upon a Time. She currently recurs on Criminal Minds and Ryan Hansen Solves Crimes on Television. David is repped by SDB Partners and Generate.

Leah is gecast in de nieuwe film ‘The Perfect One’, opnames van de film vinden momenteel plaats in Kentucky. Dit is Leah’s eerste project sinds ze gestopt in ‘The Originals’ in 2017.

Sari: Let’s talk about your character in The Originals. What do you think fans loved most about Elijah? What do you think his most redeeming quality was?
Daniel Gillies: What I love about him [is that] people saw him as a fortress of great civility. But the truth is, he is and always has been, a monster in a suit. I think there was this idea of honor and nobility, and this loyalty to his family and none of those ideas are representative of him. I think he has a very unusual devotion to his brother and that unusual devotion is the bedrock upon which the show is built. I don’t judge it, either way. It is what it is. In fact, I think it’s one of the most fascinating parts of the character. He clings to his humanity more than any of the other protagonists in the piece. I personally think that what’s most interesting about him is that he desperately wants to observe some kind of harmony within the Universe they inhabit. He’s looking to create this sanctuary for this family, but unfortunately, by virtue of who they are, that’s probably never going to be found.

Ian werkt samen met Royal Canin aan de promotiecampagne om mensen zover te krijgen met hun kat naar de dierenarts te gaan. Hiervoor had hij een fotoshoot met Michael Simon. Eerder nam hij al een promotiefilmpje op voor de campange op 22 augustus. Julie Plec heeft onthult dat Caroline Forbes voor nu nog niet te zien zal zijn in ‘Legacies’, de afwezigheid wordt verklaard dat ze nieuwe studenten aan het verzamelen is. Ze laat weten dat de mogelijk er altijd is dat Caroline haar opwachting maakt. Zach Roerig en Steven R. McQueen hebben tot nu toe wel een gastrol in de serie.

The Vampire Diaries spin-off Legacies won’t be featuring Caroline Forbes when the show kicks off, so how will the new series explain her absence?

So far, Vampire Diaries‘ Matt Davis, Steven R. McQueen, and Zach Roerig, are all set to reprise their roles, but not Candice King.

“We’re going to hear her and feel free a lot,” showrunner Julie Plec told EW. “I don’t know when we’ll see her. I, of course, would like to see her anytime. The door is open. But the girls are dealing with the fact that their mother, who has raised them, is a little absentee lately.”

So, what’s Caroline been up to since saying farewell to Klaus? “They believe she’s off on recruiting missions,” Julie shared about Caroline’s twin daughters. “Alaric knows she’s actually off doing other things that have to do with the long-term survival of their daughters. So the mystery of, where is Caroline, why isn’t she coming home for their birthday, that kind of thing is gonna be part of our story in the hopes that one day we’ll be able to walk to have her walk through the doors as well.”

“A lot of the supernatural beings that we’ll be opening our doors to are things you never would have seen on The Vampire Diaries,” Julie said as star Danielle Rose Russell added, “In our second episode, we have a very exciting new creature with a lot of CGI.”

Legacies premieres on October 25 on The CW.

Rob Heaps (Imposters), Zach Roerig (The Vampire Diaries) and Paul Fitzgerald (Veep, GLOW) are set as series regulars opposite Willa Fitzgerald, Herizen Guardiola and Marlo Kelly in the USA Network pilot Dare Me, from Universal Cable Productions and Film 44. In addition, Joyful Drake (Let’s Stay Together), Tammy Blanchard (Tallulah, Into The Woods), Antonio J. Bell (Nigerian Prince) and Alison Thornton (Girlfriends’ Guide to Divorce) round out the cast in key recurring roles.

Based on the acclaimed novel by Megan Abbott, who serves as writer and executive producer along with Gina Fattore, Dare Me is an unflinching exploration of volatile female friendships, jealousy, loyalty and the dynamics of power in a small Midwestern town. Peering behind the all-American façade, the series dives into the cutthroat world of competitive high school cheerleading, following the fraught relationship between two best friends (Guardiola, Kelly) after a new coach (Fitzgerald) arrives to bring their team to prominence. Part coming-of-age story, part small-town drama, part murder mystery, Dare Me exposes the physical and psychological extremes that some young women are willing to endure in order to get ahead.

Roerig will portray Sarge Will Mosley, the head Marine recruiter stationed in Sutton Grove High School. Although strikingly handsome and intriguingly remote, he’s a haunted man, hiding secrets and a complicated personal history.

Roerig, known for his role as Matt Donovan on The Vampire Diaries, recently shot a recurring role on The Gifted and wrapped independent feature The Last Full Measure. He’s repped by Innovative Artists and Jackoway Tyerman Wertheimer.

Phoebe is gecast in de Australische 6-delige mini-serie ‘Bloom’, deze gaat over een stadje waar na een overstroming nieuwe planten groeien die je jonger maken. Opnames zouden al begonnen zijn.

Jacki Weaver, Bryan Brown, Phoebe Tonkin, Ryan Corr, Daniel Henshall and Sam Reid head the cast of Bloom, a supernatural love story packed with adventure, mystery and horror.

Commissioned by Stan and produced by Playmaker Media, the six-part drama is now shooting in Victoria, directed by John Curran in his TV debut and Mat King, who is in post-production on Screentime’s Pine Gap for the ABC and Netflix.

Scripted by Glen Dolman, the show is set one year after a devastating flood kills five locals in a country town, where a mysterious new plant appears with the power to restore their youth. It’s a miracle which some people will kill to keep secret.

After one third of the residents leave town, the remaining several hundred are trapped in a kind of purgatory, searching for answers and trying to find blame.

Weaver plays Gwen Reid, formerly a successful actress who was forced to retire as she suffers from early-onset Alzheimer’s. Brown is her husband Ray, a high school teacher and former astronomer who is Gwen’s carer.

In her first Australian role since Safe Harbour, Phoebe Tonkin is a younger version of Gwen. Corr is Sam, a character with a dark past, with Henshall as Senior Constable Griffiths.

Claire is afgelopen zaterdag getrouwd met haar verloofd Andrew Joblon. Het stel dat al meer dan twee jaar bij elkaar is trouwde 10 maanden nadat ze verloofd waren.
