Paul Wesley speelde Stefan Salvatore in The Vampire Diaries, terwijl Julie Plec als showrunner fungeerde.

Kaylee Bryant verlaat ‘Legacies’
One of the Salvatore School’s most beloved students is putting Mystic Falls in her rearview.
The Dec. 16 episode of The CW’s Legacies marked Kaylee Bryant‘s final appearance as a series regular, TVLine has learned exclusively. Bryant has portrayed Josie Saltzman since the Vampire Diaries/Originals offshoot premiered in October 2018.
“As a fan of The Vampire Diaries universe myself, thank you to The CW and Warner Bros. TV for giving me this opportunity,” Bryant says in a statement obtained by TVLine. “I am so grateful to the fans and will love them always and forever for welcoming and accepting me into this world. Josie has helped so many beautiful humans feel comfortable in their sexuality, and I hope her legacy lives on so that one day everyone feels free to love whoever they want regardless of gender.”
But is this really the last we’ll see of Josie? That answer can be found (to an extent) in the statement we obtained from executive producers Julie Plec and Brett Matthews: “While it’s heartbreaking to say goodbye to such a beloved Super Squad member, we wish Kaylee happiness and success. We look forward to watching her career grow in the future, and our door at Legacies will always be open to her, because the world is simply a better place with Josie Saltzman in it.”
Legacies Kaylee BryantWhile Bryant will be sorely missed, Josie’s storyline has been heading in this direction for quite some time. She already tried distancing herself from the Salvatore School by enrolling at Mystic Falls High, temporarily moving in with her Uncle Damon and Aunt Elena. She eventually returned to the supernatural academy, but her latest stint has been a tumultuous one.
During last week’s Grey’s Anatomy-themed vision quest, Josie came to an important realization about her future: “I have the need to live up to this school that was literally created for me, and the pressure to save the school and my friends means I will never live a life of my own.”
Josie followed that up this week by purchasing a one-way bus ticket out of town. Josie believes that there’s still good in Hope, but she can’t help her as long as she stays in a toxic environment like the Salvatore School. Unfortunately, saying goodbye to Mystic Falls also meant saying goodbye to her girlfriend. “When I come back, we can see where you and I are,” Josie told Finch after their emotional final scene together.

Zane Phillips scoort terugkerende rol in ‘Legacies’
Legacies expands its Season Four cast with the addition of Zane Phillips, who is set to recur on the CW drama. A spinoff of The Originals, Legacies features characters from both series and its predecessor, The Vampire Diaries. The series stars Danielle Rose Russell as 17-year-old Hope Mikaelson, descended from some of the most powerful vampire, werewolf and witch bloodlines. Set in The Salvatore Boarding School for the Young & Gifted, Legacies tells the ongoing story of a new generation of supernatural students as they learn what it means to be special in a society that wouldn’t understand their gifts. In season three, Hope (Russell) has risked everything to pull her friends back from the brink of a monstrous prophecy that threatened to doom them all. But when a heartbreaking loss shatters her whole world, Hope will be forced to fight fate itself.
Phillips will play Ben, a character trapped between his family and his friends, his present and his past, who must choose one over the other.
He will appear opposite Legacies cast members Jenny Boyd, Kaylee Bryant, Quincy Fouse, Aria Shahghasemi, Peyton Alex Smith, Chris Lee, Leo Howard, Ben Levin, with Matthew Davis.
Legacies is from Warner Bros. Television and CBS Television Studios in association with My So-Called Company, with executive producers Julie Plec (The Vampire Diaries), Brett Matthews (The Vampire Diaries), Leslie Morgenstein (The Vampire Diaries, Pretty Little Liars) and Gina Girolamo (The Originals).
Phillips is a New York City-based actor and a graduate of Elon University’s Musical Theatre program. He will appear in the upcoming feature Fire Island, starring Bowen Yang and Joel Kim Booster. Phillips’ television credits include Madam Secretary and will be appearing next in Netflix’s Partner Track. He is repped by BRS/Gage and AFA Prime Talent.

Rebecca Breeds krijgt terugkerende rol in ‘Legacies’
Rebecca Breeds is back to suck your blood continue her legacy!
On Thursday, Dec. 9, The Originals’ Breeds made a surprise appearance as Aurora de Martel in episode eight of the current season of The CW’s Legacies. Now E! News is excited to announce that there will be much more to come as Breeds will have a recurring role on the show.
Breeds, who we most recently saw play FBI agent Clarice Starling in CBS’ Clarice, will reprise her role as Aurora for the fourth season of the series, created and produced by Julie Plec.
Fans of The Originals will recall that the ancient vampire has a long and complicated history with the Mikaelson family. Her issues with the clan date back centuries, and she now has a bone to pick with Hope (Danielle Rose Russell), the world’s only Tribrid (a.k.a. hybrid of three supernatural species: vampire, werewolf and witch.)
