Actrice Taylor Cole is gecast als een badd-ass vampier Sofya in het derde seizoen van ‘The Originals’. Ze zal vanaf aflevering 3×16 te zien zijn.

The Originals is welcoming another good-looking vampire with questionable intentions to its ranks.

Taylor Cole (Heroes) will recur on the CW series as Sofya, a smart, badass vampire whose skills are highly sought after on the black market, TVLine has learned exclusively. Though her loyalty remains solely to herself, Sofya is always willing to lend a hand — to the highest bidder, of course.
Sofya will make her first appearance this season in Episode 16.

Cole’s previous TV credits also include arcs on Impastor, The Glades and CSI: Miami, plus episodes of Supernatural, Castle and Hawaii Five-0.

SHOWDOWN WITH THE STRIX — In the aftermath of a horrific plan that left Cami (Leah Pipes) dead, Klaus (Joseph Morgan) declares war on Aurora (guest star Rebecca Breeds) and Tristan (guest star Oliver Auckland). Elsewhere, Vincent (Yusuf Gatewood), who has resumed his role as Regent to the New Orleans witches, is forced to use his magic against his will, while Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) and Jackson (guest star Nathan Parsons) find themselves pawns in Tristan’s twisted game. Finally, after learning that Tristan is in possession of a powerful weapon that could take their family down once and for all, Klaus, Elijah (Daniel Gillies) and Freya (Riley Voekel) enact a risky plan that leads to a tense showdown with The Strix. Kol Mikaelson zal terugkeren naar ‘The Originals’ met behulp van Davina heeft executive producer Michael Narducci laten weten. Het is alleen nog niet bekend of dit de Kol zal zijn als vampier gespeeld door Nathaniel Buzolic of als Heks gespeeld door Daniel Sharman.

For Davina, 2015 was a bit of a rough year. Not only did she lose her boyfriend, Kol Mikaelson, but the same thing happened to her best friend Josh, who lost Aiden. And then there’s the whole thing where she became regent of all New Orleans witches only to have that title stripped away. So yeah, she doesn’t live in an attic anymore, but at this point, is life outside much better?

The good news is there’s one person who could make 2016 a little more bearable, and it seems now that Davina is no longer regent, she can refocus on bringing him back. “We will see Kol back on The Originals this season,” executive producer Michael Narducci tells EW. “Davina will find help from an unlikely place and make contact with the long lost love of her life, Kol Mikaelson.”

However, like most things on The Originals, reconnecting with Kol is not going to be simple. “In order to reach out to him, she’ll have to embark on a dangerous journey into New Orleans’ supernatural underworld,” Narducci says, adding, “This will be the first chapter in a storyline that will have long-lasting effects on the entire Mikaelson clan.”

Now the question is: Which Kol will we get — the vampire played by Nathaniel Buzolic or the witch played by Daniel Sharman? And either way, how will Kol’s return affect the Mikaelson prophecy?
