Candice Accola interview met Popwrap
Not since Francie’s evolution to The Francinator during the second season of “Alias” has an actor been asked to take their character on such a 180 degree journey. Thankfully for “Vampire Diaries” fans, making Caroline Forbes a vampire hasn’t also turned her into a horrible she-beast that must be destroyed.
It has instead taken a supporting character of medium interest and sent her skyrocketing in importance, involvement and intrigue. A development actress Candice Accola has welcomed with equal amounts of appreciation and fear.
I rang up the actress following an ovation worthy couple of episodes to talk about tackling the undead obstacle head on, why she’s able to closely identify with her character’s dilemma and what the future holds for Caroline … and Candice.
PopWrap: First off, you have been killing it this season.
Candice Accola: Oh thank you so much. It’s always been exciting to wake up and go to work. In this business it’s also just exciting to have a job [laughs] and one that you enjoy. But to be presented with new challenges one season in is just a joy – there is not enough thanks or praise I can give to the writers for this wonderful opportunity!

TV Fanatic interview met Candice & Ian
What has changed for Damon?
I think that what’s sort of thrown Damon for a loop is what he said at the end of the finale, “I came to this town wanting to destroy it and everything in it, and now I find myself wanted to protect it.” How the hell does that happen? I think that it happens because when you forge relationships with people you raise stakes, you have something to lose. For someone who’s never had anything to lose, it’s throwing him a bit. It’s fun to play, but I think there are a lot of things that are about to pop up that are going to make for some action.Do you think Caroline took it easy on Damon, considering everything he put her through?
Definitely. At the same time, Caroline is very new to this whole world of being a vampire and what she’s capable of and what she’s not capable of. In order to become a vampire, part of you dies. It’s a very traumatizing thing. That fact that Damon has already tried to kill her again… she doesn’t know how powerful he is. In her mind, what if he’s as powerful as Katherine? I think there’s only so much playing with fire you want to do when you’re already half dead. It’d be a little scary to push his buttons too much until she knows what she’s capable of, and more importantly, what he is capable of.The rest van TV Fanatic’s interview met Candice is hier te lezen, die van Ian is hier te lezen.

Ian over de dingen die Damon belangrijk vind
There’s no denying that both Salvatore brothers on “The Vampire Diaries” are good-looking and charming enough to make a girl forget about the whole blood-sucking dilemma.
But while Stefan’s (Paul Wesley) idea of a romantic evening involves making out on a Ferris wheel after hours, Damon (Ian Somerhalder) has a different way of showing Elena (Nina Dobrev) that he cares.
“Well, there’s no better way to say I love you than breaking her brother’s neck,” Somerhalder tells Zap2it. “What happened to flowers and chocolate and love letters? For Damon it’s snapping your brother’s cervical vertebrae, therefore severing his spinal cord and killing him.”

Wie verhuist er naar Mystic Falls?
By the end of the season, HBO’s True Blood left Bon Temps infested with vampires, werewolves, werepanthers, shape shifters, shamans, fairies and witches. I asked the cast of The Vampire Diaries, which is bringing werewolves to Mystic Falls, what other creatures they’d like to see terrorize their town.
Ian Somerhalder (Damon): “Morena Baccarin’s lizard alien from V. If a lizard that hot showed up, Damon would definitely have to have a bite.”
Nina Dobrev (Elena): “A dragon from Harry Potter. The fire they breathe out could kill our vampires.”
Paul Wesley (Stefan): “Steven McQueen could turn into a unicorn overnight.”
Katerina Graham (Bonnie): “Leprechauns. We could use some luck in Mystic Falls.”
Steven R. McQueen (Jeremy): “The vampire thing has become too much. We’ve got to move on to Frankenstein, with the bolts in the neck.”
Matt Davis (Alaric): “A giant octopus could give the show a cool 1950s horror-movie feel.”

Candice Accola interview
Hier is een interview met Candice Accola, volgens haar zullen de fans van TVD enthausiast zijn over seizoen 2.
Early in The Vampire Diaries, Caroline was the bitch. There’s no other way to put it. But as the rookie season progressed, something interesting happened with Caroline, who is played by Candice Accola.
Over time, Caroline became a three-dimensional, even sympathetic character. When she behaved in a bitchy way, viewers started to feel sorry for her, rather than despising her.
We have to assume the writers on The Vampire Diaries saw something in Accola that allowed this gradual transformation to occur.
“Well, thank you so much, first and foremost,” said Accola, who is back with all the main cast members for the second season of The Vampire Diaries, beginning Thursday, Sept. 9 on CW and A. “To start the story it had to be pretty simple, but as the season unfolded the layers came out.”

Sara Canning interview
In een interview vertelt Sara Cannning over seizoen 2 en volgens haar is de gehele cast enthousiast over seizoen 2!
Sherwood Park’s got its very own blood sucker, and she’s getting stronger by the day.
Well, OK, she’s not a vampire, but Sara Canning, a Sherwood Park native, is about to start taping the second season of Vampire Diaries, which airs on the CTV in Canada and the CW Network in the United States.
Canning plays Jenna Sommers in the TV show, an aunt and caregiver of Elena and drug user Jeremy, who go and live with her after their parents died in a car accident.
But in a world filled with vampires, witches, and other potentially supernatural beings, alluded to throughout the first season, Canning believes that her character will continue to stay oblivious to the fact that she is surrounded by blood-thirsty creatures.

Nina over haar dubbelrol in TVD
Nina had het met TV Guide over haar dubbelrol in ‘The Vampire Diaries’, sinds ze aankomend seizoen zowel de rol van Elena als die van Katherine vertolkt.
Nina Dobrev is working twice as hard on CW’s Vampire Diaries, playing both Elena and Katherine this season. “I’m not sleeping because I’ve been shooting so much, if that’s any indication of how big the material is getting,” she says. “It’s getting darker and scarier, but at the same time, more fun for me. I’m also being tragic and running away from bad things.”

Courtney Ford over haar personages
Actrice Courtney Ford heeft het in een interview over haar personages in seizoen 2 van TVD. Zo zal ze universtiteit studente Vanessa Monroe gaan spelen, die Alaric, Damon en Elena zal hebben met research naar Isobel.
Courtney Ford isn’t afraid of blood.
Ford spilled plenty of the red stuff this past season on Dexter as the Trinity Killer’s murderous daughter, now she’s joining the bloodsuckers on The Vampire Diaries as a vampire scholar.
Here’s what Courtney dished to us at Showtime’s Emmy nominee reception about her hot new TVD character, including the true nature of her “research” into the vampires of Fell’s Church. (Hint: Her character might have more on her mind than just books!)
“I play Vanessa Monroe, a Duke University grad student who’s helping Alaric (Matt Davis), Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Elena (Nina Dobrev) with Isobel’s research. It’s a really nice arc.”
Isobel, Elena’s birth mom and Alaric’s wife, was so obsessed with vampires that she persuaded Damon to turn her into one. Is Vanessa going to ask the same favor of the sexy Salvatore brother?
Not a chance, Courtney dished. “Vanessa has a conflict, because she studies all this wonderful mythology and folklore, but half of her is a complete skeptic. Half of her is a believer, and half of her is a skeptic, and she goes back and forth. It’s a big conflict for her.”
When we asked Courtney whether Vanessa would see any action in the romance department, her reaction revealed that she’s obviously hooking up with someone… but Courtney’s lips are sealed: “I want to tell you so much, but I can’t!” she said, laughing. We’re starting to believe show runner Kevin Williamson really does put the fear of death in his castmembers.
Courtney was escorted to Showtime’s pre-Emmys bash by her gorgeous husband, Brandon Routh, so we asked him whether he’d be returning to Chuck this season as Special Agent Daniel Shaw. “Not as far as I know,” he said, “but I’d love to come back!”

Nina: ‘Elena heeft vast dromen gehad over Damon’
As if “The Vampire Diaries”heroine Nina Dobrev didn’t have enough on her plate. Last season, her character Elena was torn between two of the hottest vampires broadcast television has ever seen.
This year, Nina’s got her own set of fangs as she gears up to bring Katherine Pierce, Elena’s evil vampire doppelganger, back to life.

TVGuide interview met Taylor Kinney
TVGuide heeft een interview gehad met Taylor Kinney, de acteur speelt in het tweede seizoen de rol van Mason Lockwood.
Don’t get a Lockwood angry. You won’t like them when they’re angry. In The Vampire Dairies‘ September 9 premiere, Tyler Lockwood (Michael Trevino) is surprised to see his long-absent, black sheep of the family Uncle Mason (Taylor Kinney) turn up for the funeral of his dad, the mayor. But a bigger surprise comes when Mason drops the bomb that werewolfism runs in the Lockwood bloodline!
“Mason has learned to harness his rage and is going to serve as a mentor to Tyler,” says Taylor. “I’ve come to teach Tyler that there are choices he can make to control his destiny as a human…or otherwise.”
