Het is bekend geworden dat de opnames van Ian’s nieuwe Netflix-serie ‘V-Wars’ eind juni zullen beginnen. Hierdoor heeft hij een verschijning op de BloodNightCon conventie in Spanje moeten afzeggen. Het is nog niet bekend wanneer de nieuwe serie op de streamingsdienst te zien zal zijn.

Ian te zien in nieuwe vampier serie ‘V-Wars’ voor Netflix
Ian Somerhalder, bekend van rollen in onder meer The Vampire Diaries, gaat opnieuw in een vampierenserie spelen.
De acteur speelt een van de hoofdrollen in V-Wars, een serie gebaseerd op het gelijknamige boek van Jonathan Maberry, meldt Deadline maandag.Somerhalder zal ook een gedeelte van de serie, die op Netflix uitgezonden wordt, regisseren.
De acteur speelt het personage Dr. Luther Swann, die zijn beste vriend ziet veranderen in een vampier. Als meer mensen geïnfecteerd raken met het “vampierenvirus”, ontketent zich een epidemie en een oorlog tussen de wezens en de mens.
Somerhalder speelde acht jaar lang een van de hoofdrollen in The Vampire Diaries, een serie die liep van 2009 tot 2017.

Joseph gecast in serie gebaseerd op film ‘Gone Baby Gone’
Joseph is is gecast in de nieuwe fox frama serie gebaseerd op de film ‘Gone Baby Gone’. het nieuwe project heeft nog geen naam.
The Fox drama pilot based on “Gone Baby Gone” has cast “The Originals” star Joseph Morgan in one of the lead roles, Variety has confirmed.
The untitled one-hour drama centers on a pair of private detectives, Patrick Kenzie (Morgan) and Angela Gennaro, who are “armed with their wits, their street knowledge and an undeniable chemistry” as they work to right the wrongs the law can’t in the working-class Boston borough of Dorchester.
Morgan first played the character Klaus Mikaelson in The CW’s “Vampire Diaries” before reprising the role in the spinoff series “The Originals.” His other roles include appearances in films like “Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World” and “Alexander,” as well as in the series “Doc Martin” and “Casualty.”
He is repped by WME and manager Richard Konigsberg.
Casey Affleck starred as Kenzie in the 2007 film version of “Gone Baby Gone,” which was itself based on the novel of the same name by Dennis Lehane. Michelle Monaghan played Gennaro. Affleck’s brother Ben directed the film, which was his feature directorial debut. Robert Levine and Lehane are both set to executive produce the pilot, which will be a co-production between 20th Century Fox Television and Miramax. Levine will also serve as the writer.

Het is bekend geworden wanneer het vijfde seizoen van ‘Younger’ zal beginnen op TV Land in Amerika. Via onderstaande 360º foto op de serie’s facebookpagina werd bekend dat dit op dinsdag 5 juni zal zijn! Hiermee verschuift de serie van de woensdag naar de dinsdag.

Yusuf gecast in nieuwe serie ‘In Between Lives’
Yusuf Gatewood zal te zien zijn in de nieuwe NBC serie serie ‘In Between Lives’
NBC’s In Between Lives drama pilot has found its leading man.
Yusuf Gatewood (The Originals) is set to star opposite Harriet Dyer (No Activity) in the network’s pilot from Madam Secretary writer Moira Kirland.
The project revolves around a mysterious young woman (Dyer) who reluctantly uses her gift of clairvoyance to help a veteran LAPD detective and a damaged ex-FBI outsider solve the most unnerving and challenging cases the city encounters. This eerie ability also opens the door for her to see and talk to the dead, who are seeking help for unresolved problems — whether she likes it or not.
Gatewood will star as Damien Parrish, the newbie on the LAPD Homicide Squad who used to be a criminal analyst with the FBI and spent the past eight years in Florida.
Kirland penned the script and executive produces the NBC Interntional/Universal Television drama alongside Heyday Television’s David Heyman and Nancy Cotton.
Gatewood, who next has the final season of The CW’s Vampire Diaries spinoff due in April, counts Wonder Boys, The Interpreter and Barbershop: The Next Cut among his credits. He is repped by APA.
Gatewood is the latest member of the Originals family to book a follow-up role this pilot season. Writer Carina Adly MacKenzie scored a pilot order at The CW for a Roswell reboot with showrunner Julie Plec on board to exec produce and direct, and the duo have cast Nathan Parsons and The Vampire Diaries’ Michael Trevino in that project. Joseph Morgan is also set to star in Fox’s reboot of Gone, Baby, Gone, while Charles Michael Davis is a regular on TV Land’s Younger.

Nina scoort rol in nieuwe CBS pilot-serie ‘Fam’
Nina heeft een rol gesschoort in de nieuwe komedie-serie van de Amerikaanse zender CBS. De serie genaamd ‘Fam’ gaat over Clem (gespeeld door Nina) wiens leven op zijn kop wordt gezet als haar half-zus na haren opduikt. En de dierbare mensen om haar heen zoals verloofd Jay erachter komen dat ze niet geheel eerlijk is over haar eigen verleden. Het is nog niet bekend of de serie er ook daadwerkelijk komt en per wanneer.
She’s back! Former The Vampire Diaries star Nina Dobrev, is returning to television and switching things up with a comedic turn as the lead of CBS multi-camera comedy Fam, from writer Corinne Kingsbury, Kapital Entertainment and CBS TV Studios.
Written by Kingsbury and directed by Scott Ellis, Fam is about a woman, Clem (Dobrev) whose younger half-sister, Shannon (Odessa Adlon), comes to live with her and her fiancé to escape their train wreck of a father.
Dobrev’s Clem is grounded, deeply funny, quick-witted and outspoken. She was a bit of a hot mess in her younger years, but since then, she has worked hard to create the best version of herself and her life is on track. She is a real charmer who is ecstatic when Jay, the love of her life, proposes. In the “best version of herself,” she claims that her own father is long dead, but the fact is that her dad, Freddy Banks, whom she hasn’t seen in 10 years, is such an embarrassment that she has lied about his death. And when her half-sister Shannon shows up unexpectedly, Clem’s lie is about to become painfully obvious to everyone who trusted and believed her. And that lie just might end her relationship with Jay for good.
Kingsbury executive produces with Kapital Entertainment’s Aaron Kaplan and Dana Honor as well as Wendi Trilling via TrillTV. In addition to Adlon, Dobrev joins previously cast Brian Stokes Mitchell and Sheryl Lee Ralph.
Following her six-season run as the lead Elena on The Vampire Diaries, Bulgarian-born Dobrev, who returned for the series finale, has been focused on features, starring in Paramount’s xXx: Return of Xander Cage, Sony’s Flatliners reboot, and indie comedy Crashpad opposite Christina Applegate and Domnhall Gleeson. She will be seen in the upcoming indies Dog Days directed by Ken Marino, Departures opposite Maisie Williams and Asa Butterfield, and Roger Avary’s Lucky Day.
