Nina is binnenkort te zien in nieuwe serie!
Nina Dobrev (The Vampire Diaries) en Bruna Papandrea (Big Little Lies) bewerken het boek Woman 99 van Greer Macallister tot een serie.
Nina Dobrev (The Vampire Diaries) en Made Up Stories hebben de rechten bemachtigd van het boek Woman 99 van Greer Macallister. Ze gaan het boek bewerken naar een serie en Nina Dobrev zal de hoofdrol vervullen. Dobrev en Bruna Papandrea (Big Little Lies), oprichtster van Made Up Stories, dienen als uitvoerend producent.
De Historische thriller Woman 99 volgt een jonge vrouw, die haar gezond verstand, veiligheid en leven op het spel zet om haar zus te bevrijden van een berucht asiel. Het boek werd in maart 2019 gepubliceerd.

Melise gecast in nieuwe animatieserie ‘Invincible’
Melise zal haar stem verlenen aan de nieuwe animatieserie ‘Invincible’ voor Amazon.

Zachary Quinto and “The Walking Dead” star Khary Payton have joined the voice cast of Robert Kirkman’s superhero series “Invincible” at Amazon, the creator announced Saturday.
The news was announced Saturday at Kirkman’s Skybound Xpo event, a two-day virtual festival to celebrate Skybound Entertainment’s 10 year anniversary. During the event, Kirkman also unveiled the list of characters other actors on the show would play.
The eight-episode series, which is based on Kirkman’s comic of the same name, revolves around 17-year-old Mark Grayson, who’s just like every other guy his age — except that his father is the most powerful superhero on the planet, Omni-Man. But as Mark develops powers of his own, he discovers that his father’s legacy may not be as heroic as it seems.

As Kirkman revealed Saturday, Zazie Beetz will voice Amber Bennett, Chris Diamantopoulos will voice Doc Seismic, Walton Goggins will voice Cecil Steadman, Grey Griffin will voice Shrinking Rae & Amanda (Monster Girl as Girl), Mark Hamill will voice Art, Gillian Jacobs will voice Atom Eve, Melise will voice Dulpi-Kate, Jason Mantzoukas will voice Rex Splode, Andrew Rannells will voice William Clockwell, Kevin Michael Richardson will voice Mauler 1, Mauler 2 and Monster Girl (as Monster), and Seth Rogen will voice Allen the Alien.
“Teen Titans” alum Simon Racioppa is set to serve as showrunner on the Skybound Entertainment-produced series, with David Alpert and Catherine Winder also executive producing alongside Kirkman and Racioppa.

Claire maakt nieuwe film in corona-tijd
Claire heeft meegewerkt aan een film die tijdens de lockdown rondom het corona-virus is opgenomen. De acteur moesten zelf hun camera’s klaar zetten, make-up doen en kregen via zoom advies. Zo kon de film gemaakt worden zonder dat iedereen elkaar daadwerkelijk zag of in dezelfde ruimte was. In de artikel van Vanity Fair vertellen ze er alles over.

”Hightown’ krijgt 2e seizoen!
Riley’s nieuwste serie ‘Hightown’ is door zender Starz vernieuwd voor een tweede seizoen. Naar de serie kijken gemiddeld 1,5 miljoen mensen per aflevering, de series premiere zorgde voor een kijkersrecord voor de zender.
Crime drama “Hightown” has been renewed for a second season at Starz, the premium cabler announced Thursday.
The news comes after the series has aired just four episodes, with the first episode having aired on May 17. Per Starz, the series premiere set viewership records across Starz OTT platforms. In the Nielsen Live+7 ratings, the show is averaging 1.5 million viewers per episode.
“Hightown” is set on Cape Cod. It follows Jackie Quiñones (Monica Raymund), a hard-partying National Marine Fisheries Service agent, who has her free-wheeling life thrown into disarray when she discovers a body on the beach – another casualty of Cape Cod’s opioid epidemic. As a result of this trauma, Jackie takes the first steps toward becoming sober, until she becomes convinced that it’s up to her to solve the murder.
The series also stars James Badge Dale, Riley Voelkel, Shane Harper, Amaury Nolasco, Atkins Estimond, and Dohn Norwood.
“Hightown” was created and executive produced by Rebecca Cutter. Gary Lennon executive produces along with Jerry Bruckheimer, Jonathan Littman, and KristieAnne Reed from Jerry Bruckheimer TV. Ellen H. Schwartz also serves as executive producer. Rachel Morrison directed the first two episodes of the series. The series is produced by Jerry Bruckheimer Television and Lionsgate Television.
