Jospeh scoort rol in ‘Dermaphoria’
Joseph Morgan heeft de hoofdrol gescoort in de film ‘Dermaphoria’, naar een gelijknamig boek over een briljante scheikundige die wakker wordt geheugenverlies in de gevangenis na een explosie in een drugslabratorium. Gevangen tussen de politie en criminelen die dolgraag een formule willen hebben in zijn hoofd, moet de man zijn geheugen terugkrijgen door een nieuw medicijn/drugs om zijn vermiste vriendin terug te vinden.
Joseph Morgan is headed to the big screen!
According to THR, the 32-year-old Originals star has landed a role in Dermaphoria, the film adaptation of Craig Clevenger‘s novel of the same name.
The story centers on a brilliant chemist (Morgan) who wakes up in jail after a drug lab explosion and is suffering from amnesia.
Trapped between cops who want to arrest him and heavies who will stop at nothing to get the formula buried deep inside his head, the man needs to piece together memories fragmented by a powerful new drug and find his missing girlfriend.
Production is set to begin on June 23 in New Orleans.

Ian gecast in ‘The Anamoly’
Ian is gecast in de nieuwe actie thriller ‘The Anamoly’, de opnames zullen in Londen zijn.
Ian Somerhalder has joined the cast of the upcoming action thriller The Anamoly!
The 34-year-old actor will star alongside Luke Hemsworth in the film that follows the travails of a traumatized ex-soldier who wakes up in the back of a van, alongside a kidnapped boy, to find that he only has nine minutes and 37 seconds of consciousness to work out why and how he got there.
The Anamoly will shoot in London and also star Pitch Perfect‘s Alexis Knapp, Noel Clarke, and Brian Cox.

Nina in ‘Let’s Be Cops’?
Nina Dobrev zou volgens de nieuwste berichten een rol hebben gescoord in de film ‘Let’s Be Cops’! De film gaat over twee vrienden die denken dat het leuk is om zich voor te doen als politieagenten. Maar hun idee mislukt wanneer ganster erbij betrokken raakt. Damon Wayans, Jr. en Jake Johnson zijn te zien als de twee vrienden in de film, Nina zou de rol van de Damon Wayans Jr personage’s vriendin spelen.
Nina Dobrev (Elena) better dust off her comedic skills, because Variety reports she’s going to star in a movie with Damon Wayans, Jr. The movie, Let’s Be Cops, also stars Jake Johnson and James D’Arcy.
Wayans and Johnson play two friends who think it will be funny to pretend to be cops. This brilliant idea fails when a not-so-fake mobster (D’Arcy) gets involved. The Vampire Diaries actress will portray Wayans’s girlfriend.
Presumably the movie will film over the summer, so Nina can get back to Atlanta in time for Season 5 TVD duties. Two years ago, she shot her scenes for Perks of Being a Wallflower in mid-May so as not to interfere with the show’s schedule.
We’ve seen Nina deliver some witty lines as Katherine on The Vampire Diaries — and recently as no-emotions Elena, too — but it’s rare to see her in a truly comedic role. We’re so used to her crying, running for her life, and just plain looking worried!
Congrats on the new gig, Nina! We can’t wait to see it!

Daniel’s film ‘Broken Kingdom’ uitgezonden in de VS
De film ‘Broken Kingdom’ waarin Daniel Gillies naast regiseur van was ook een rol in had zal op 15 mei worden uitgezonden door de Amerikaanse zender Showtime!Daarnaast zal voorafgaand van de film ook de ‘making of’ documantaire van de film op de zender te zien zijn.
“Broken Kingdom,” a film directed by and starring Daniel Gillies, hits the pay cabler in May.
The pay cabler has acquired two films from Daniel Gillies, who appears on The CW hit drama as Elijah, The Hollywood Reporter has learned exclusively.
Broken Kingdom, directed by and starring Gillies, premieres on Showtime at 8:30 p.m. May 15.
The film follows two stories as it weaves its way from the slums of Bogota to the Hills of Hollywood. A 14-year-old street girl and an American writer discover an uncommon union, while a L.A. daycare teacher does everything she can to fight the weight of a tragic secret. Gillies’ wife, actress Rachael Leigh Cook, co-stars.
Leading into Broken Kingdom is the documentary chronicling the making of the film, Kingdom Come, which will air at 7 p.m. May 15.
Gillies is best known for his portrayal of Elijah and will reprise his role on The Vampire Diaries spinoff The Originals, which airs its backdoor pilot Thursday. He returns for season two of Canadian medical drama Saving Hope as surgeon Joel Goran opposite Erica Durance.
Kingdom Come marks the directorial debut of Paiman Kalayeh and John Lyons Murphy. Kalayeh, a noted comedy writer whose credits include The Cleveland Show and Bounty Hunters, he is repped by Brillstein Entertainment Partners and Kaplan Stahler, who brokered the deal for both films with Showtime.
Gillies is repped by APA and Kritzer Levine Wilkins Griffin Nilon Entertainment. -

‘Revelation’ trailer
Hier de trailer van de de door Joseph Morgan geregisseerde (korte) film ‘Revelation’. Hier is o.a. actrice Persia White in te zien, die de rol van Bonnie’s moeder Abbey Bennet vertolkte!
ou’d think that playing “The Vampire Diaries” villainous vampire-werewolf hybrid would keep Joseph Morgan busy, but the true artist never sleeps! Our favorite bad guy directed a short film, “Revelation,” over the summer, starring “Vampire Diaries” witch Persia White, best known from her role on “Girlfriends.” Now, Morgan has finally debuted the highly-anticipated thirty-second trailer.
The whole movie is about ten minutes long, and Morgan has submitted it for consideration in several festivals. In time, he plans to make the film available for fans to view online.
“Ultimately, the goal is to stream it online for free, but unfortunately, for some of the festivals we submitted it to, like Cannes, having it available online would immediately disqualify us, so I’m trying to do everything in the right order,” Morgan tells us. “I do feel a bit bad, because I tweeted about it so much and haven’t been able to release it yet, but my hope is eventually to have a screening in Atlanta and then to make it available for free online.”
Judging by the thirty-second sneak peek, we’re in for ten harrowing minutes when we finally get to see the whole thing. Just that final second of the trailer is going to haunt our nightmares tonight!
Morgan is currently gearing up to star in an upcoming backdoor pilot for his own “Vampire Diaries” spinoff, titled “The Originals,” which will see his character move to New Orleans’ supernatural hotbed, the French Quarter. The pilot will air April 25, 2013, as an episode of “The Vampire Diaries.”
