  • Nina’s film ‘The Out-Laws ‘ op Netflix

    Vanaf 7 juli is ook Nina’s nieuwste film ‘The Out-Laws’ te zien op Netflix!

    De doodgewone Owen Browning werkt als manager bij een bank. Hij staat op het punt te gaan trouwen met het meisje van zijn dromen, Parker. Hun trouwplannen lopen daarentegen uit de hand als in de week voorafgaand aan het huwelijk Owens bank wordt overvallen door de legendarische Ghost Bandits. Owen gelooft dat niet alles is wat het lijkt wanneer zijn toekomstige schoonfamilie rond dezelfde tijd van de overval de stad binnenrolt. Hierdoor krijgt hij het vermoeden dat zij de dieven kunnen zijn.

  • Phoebe gecast in nieuwe film ‘And On The Eighth Day’

    Phoebe Tonkin is gecast in de nieuwe crimefilm ‘And On The Eighth Day’, opnames van de film zijn net afgerond in New Mexico.

    Phoebe Tonkin (Babylon) is among the cast leading the indie crime drama And On The Eighth Day from debut feature filmmaker Alexandra Chando, which has just wrapped production in New Mexico.

    Tonkin leads the cast, which is rounded out by Darren Mann (1923), Mustafa Speaks (All American), Valerie Mahaffey (Dead to Me), Lindsey Morgan (The 100), and Tanner Beard (We Summon the Darkness).

    Story follows the journey of two small-time thieves who find themselves in a remote town in West Texas. The film is produced by Suzanne Weinert, who also penned the screenplay, alongside Janice Beard and Melissa Kirkendall. Executive producers are Marina Cappi of Cappi Studios and Lexie Beard. Sandra Adair, a longtime collaborator of Richard Linklater, is editing the pic. Adair has worked with Linklater since his 1993 breakout, Dazed and Confused. She was nominated for the Best Editing Oscar for her work on 2014’s Boyhood.

    We understand production on And On The Eighth Day took place in Moriarty, Estancia, and Santa Rosa, New Mexico, with producers currently working towards a 2024 release. Tonkin is known for appearances on popular TV shows like The Vampire Diaries and Westworld and has featured in a range of features like Damien Chazelle’s Babylon.

  • Kat gecast in de film ‘ Black, White & Blue’

    After getting into business with Amazon Studios, Tyler Perry has unveiled his first project as part a four-movie deal with the streaming giant.

    The film, Black, White & Blue, is written, directed and produced by Perry and stars Kat Graham, Tyler Lepley, Meagan Tandy, Josh Adeyeye, RonReaco Lee, Jimi Stanton, Shannon LaNier and Nick Barrotta.

    Black, White & Blue will follow Fela Blackburn as her life is shattered when she loses her husband, Rodney Blackburn, at the hands of a police officer. Determined to get to the bottom of the incident and seek justice, she leans on her best friend, Marley Wells, who is a lawyer, and her husband, Tony Wells, who is a former cop turned private investigator.

    Fela attempts to use their influence to find the truth, only to learn her entire world is rooted in lies and betrayal.

    Perry’s pact with Amazon, unveiled in November 2022, will see all four of his movies be released on Prime Video. In addition to Perry via Tyler Perry Studios, producers on Black, White & Blue include Tyler Perry Studios’ Angi Bones and Will Areu, as well as Jamall Ellzy.

    Most recently, Perry has been working with Netflix, recently releasing the period drama A Jazzman’s Blues with the service. Prior to this, he released A Madea Homecoming — the 12th installment in the Madea film franchise — with Netflix. Perry previously had a first-look features deal with Lionsgate, which in 2019 released A Madea Family Funeral. The film earned $75.8 million globally.

    On the television front, the ever-prolific Perry, who has had a longtime television partnership with Viacom, was behind eight series that were on the air in 2022, including BET series The Oval, Assisted Living and Sistas.

    Perry is represented by WME and Johnson Shapiro.

  • Sara gecast in horrorfilm ‘Dark Match’

    Twee weken geleden is aangekondigd dat Sara gecast is de nieuwe horrorfilm ‘Dark Match’. De opnames van de film zouden al afgerond zijn, een releasedatum is nog niet bekend.

    Wrestling star Chris Jericho, fresh off a supporting role in horror breakout Terrifier 2, is set to lead cast in wrestling-themed horror Dark Match.

    Jericho will star with Ayisha Issa (Transplant), Steven Ogg (The Walking Dead), Sara Canning (The Vampire Diaries), Michael Eklund (Wynonna Earp) and Jonathan Cherry (Goon).

    The Dept. 9 Studios film, which recently wrapped in Edmonton, Canada, sees a small-time wrestling company accept a high-paying gig in a backwoods town, only to discover when they arrive that the community is run by a mysterious cult leader with devious plans for their match.

    Pic is written and directed by Lowell Dean (Wolfcop) and is produced by John MacDonald who also serves as one of the executive producers along with Jericho. Don Depoe and Michael Feehan who are also Dept.9 producers, joined by Rhonda Baker (The Grudge) and Michael Peterson.

    The film’s writer and director Lowell Dean said: “It’s been a blast filming in Edmonton and working every day with such a talented cast and crew. I’m excited for the opportunity to work with Dept.9 Studios and for the producer’s support in bringing Dark Match to life.”

    Founded by John MacDonald in 2019, Dept.9 Studios is a 26,000 sq. ft. production facility in Edmonton, Alberta. The company develops and produces its own films and TV and rents the site to third parties.
