Begin december is bekend geworden dat Torrey De Vitto een rol heeft gescoort in de serie ‘Army Wives’! Het zevende seizoen waarin ze als vast castlid te zien zal zijn gaat op 10 maart in premiere in Amerika.

Torrey DeVitto is trading in her scrubs and heading to the army base. The actress, who recurs on “The Vampire Diaries” as Dr. Meredith Fell, has been cast as a new series regular on the drama “Army Wives.”

Deadline reported the news on Friday that DeVitto, along with Ashanti and Ella McLemore, will be joining the Lifetime drama’s seventh season as the show revamps itself due to star Kim Delaney’s exit and current series regular Sally Pressman shifting to recurring status.

DeVitto will play Maggie Hall, a sexy and smart, ex-Army Airborne, who knows how to keep a husband and how to keep him in line. Maggie is now a truck driver married to a Staff Sergeant with a teenage daughter. Maggie decided to leave the army and devote herself to being a wife and mother.

In addition to her recurring role on “The Vampire Diaries,” where she works with her husband Paul Wesley, DeVitto also has a recurring role on ABC Family’s “Pretty Little Liars” as Melissa Hastings. DeVitto’s past work includes “One Tree Hill.”
