Sara gecast in nieuwe film
Sara is volgens de The Hollywood Reporter gecast in de film ‘I Put A Hit On You’, naar verluid zullen de opnames op 20 november beginnen in Toronto, Canada.
The Vampire Dairies’ Sara Canning has jumped on board the dark romantic comedy I Put a Hit on You, the feature film debut of Dane Clark and Linsey Stewart.
Canning is to play a broken-hearted woman who goes on Craigslist in a drunken stupor to arrange a hit on her ex-boyfriend, played by Aaron Ashmore (Warehouse 13), only to then attempt to stop the hitman from carrying out the contract.
The online-posting-disaster feature from Lithium Studios Productions and Dark Hope Entertainment is set to start shooting in Toronto on November 20.

Cannes MIPCOM 2012

Achter de schermen bij ‘The Right Kind of Wrong’
De eerste achter de schermen foto van Sara’s nieuwe film ‘The Right Kind of Wrong’ is verschenen. De opnames van de film zijn in Augustus begonnen in Canada. Hiervoor had de film de naam ‘Sex And Sunsets’.

Sara heeft een fotoshoot gehad met de Candese kunstenaar afallenhorse uit Toronto genaamd “undressing Sara/Sara dressing”.
undressing Sara/Sara dressing confronts our expectations – as consumers of popular culture images – of female performance and nakedness. By referencing a modern history of female representation in fashion, film, photography and art, the video, a stop motion animation compiled of 4626 still images, aims to expose the absurd socially constructed roles for women and men in popular culture.

Sara gecast in ‘Sex and Sunsets’
Sara is gecast in de film adaptie van het boek ‘Sex And Sunsets’, dat over een mislukte schrijver die de vrouw van zijn dromen tegen komt op het moment dat ze in het huwelijksbootje stapt met een ander. In de film is ook ‘True Blood’ acteur Ryan Kwanten te zien. De productie van de film begint op 20 augustus.
Sara Canning and Catherine O’Hara are joining the cast of Serendipity Point Films’ Sex and Sunsets, starring Ryan Kwanten.
‘True Blood’s’ Ryan Kwanten to Star in Canadian Indie ‘Sex and Sunsets’ The film, directed by Jeremiah Chechik from Megan Martin’s adaptation of Tim Sandlin’s novel, concerns a failed writer, played by Kwanten, who meets the girl of his dreams, played by Canning, just as she is about to marry another man. O’Hara plays the girl’s eccentric and estranged mother.
Robert Lantos is producing the project along with Ari Lantos with Mark Musselman as executive producer. Principal photography begins Aug. 20 on locations in Banff, Canada and Los Angeles.
Sex and Sunsets will be distributed by eOne in Canada, the U.K., Australia, New Zealand and the Benelux.
Canning, repped by Lauren Levitt & Associates and McKeon-Myones Management, appears on The Vampire Diaries as Jenna Sommers. O’Hara, repped by ICM and Brillstein Entertainment, will next be heard as one of the voice talents in Tim Burton’s upcoming Frankenweenie. -

‘Taken In Broad Daylight’ op TV
Aanstaande woensdag 1 augustus is Sara’s film ‘Taken In Broad Daylight’ op RTL4 te zien om 20.30. in de film uit 2009 is gebaseerd op een waargebeurt verhaal.
De 17-jarige Anne Sluti wordt ontvoerd door een losgeslagen crimineel. Hij trekt met haar door verschillende staten. Ze tracht echter aanwijzingen achter te laten voor de politie en probeert haar ontvoerder te overmeesteren. Uiteindelijk haalt de politie hen in en zijn ze omsingeld. Nu moet Anne proberen over haar vrijlating te onderhandelen met een wanhopige moordenaar en de politie die hem maar al te graag wil neerschieten.

Naast Candice Accola heeft ook Sara Canning een gastrol gescoort in ‘Supernatural’. Ze was te zien in de aflevering 7×13 Slice Girls, captures hiervan staan in de galerij.
