Kat werkt mee aan documentaire ‘The Tipping Point’
Kat zal te zien zijn in de 6-delige documentaire van talkshow host Trevor Noah genaamd “The Tipping Point” die o.a. zal gaan over de vlchteliingen crisis.
Trevor Noah is set to executive produce a documentary series of feature-length projects called “The Tipping Point,” which will tackle the major political and cultural issues rapidly changing America and a world on the brink.
“The Tipping Point” is a collaboration between Noah’s Day Zero Productions along with TIME Studios, Sugar23 and P&G Studios. It will focus on topics related to voting rights, civil rights, human rights, healthcare and American democracy. Each documentary will aim to dissect how we got here, what has changed and how we navigate the road going forward.
Each film will be a standalone documentary that will vary in tone between comedic, poignant, investigative and heartwarming. Noah will collaborate with LeBron James and Maverick Carter’s SpringHill Company, as well as work with other talent featured in the series, including Angelina Jolie, Kat Graham and Lance Bass. Those films will address topics including the global refugee crisis, the consequences of the 2020 election and voting rights challenges for the LGBTQ+ community.
“I am excited to be working with TIME Studios, Sugar23 and P&G Studios on this important documentary series during one of the most fascinating and challenging periods in modern history. I hope these documentaries will act as a mirror to our society and showcase our resiliency while providing hope for the path ahead,” Noah said in a statement.
Executive producing “The Tipping Point” are Michael Sugar, Ashley Zalta and David Hillman of Sugar23, Ian Orefice and Alexa Conway of TIME Studios and Trevor Noah and Haroon Saleem of Day Zero Productions. Ashley Dizon will oversee for Day Zero Productions. Carrie Rathod, Marc Pritchard and Kimberly Doebereiner will oversee for P&G. Norman Aladjem, Derek Van Pelt and Sanaz Yamin of Mainstay Entertainment will also serve as executive producers.
“This series of documentaries is serendipitously positioned for this very moment in time. Each film in ‘The Tipping Point’ will dig deep to provide an objective and comprehensive view of what is happening, how we got here, and where it could lead. Our talented storytellers are going to take you there, and we’re thrilled to be along for the ride,” Sugar, Orefice and Saleem said in a statement.
Trevor Noah is the host of “The Daily Show” on Comedy Central. He’s also the author of “Born a Crime: Stories From a South African Childhood,” which is a New York Times bestseller.

Kat Graham’s stand-out track from her latest album Long Hot Summer, entitled Oprah Rich, is sure to put a snarl in your step as you navigate the pallid crowds of your commute. Kat’s unapologetic celebration of her success is the reverb-loaded, bass-laden anthem of an archetypal boss bitch.When asked what her audience ought to take from her new track, Kat shared, “I really hope that people feel more unapologetically themselves. I hope that people see that they can be every colour that they dream of. The main message is to not just be yourself, but to be the loudest version of you.”
We sat down with Kat to discuss where she got her start in the performative world, the process behind her newest album, and her work as a human rights activist.
Hi Kat! How are you? How has this past year been with you?
Hi! 2022 has definitely been one of the most intense years I’ve had in a long time.Can you take us back to the beginning of your music career?
My music career started at around age 15. I was taking my beats that I had made in a tiny Hollywood one-bedroom apartment with my mum around to labels in NYC to try and get artists to feature on them. I couldn’t get any artists to get on my beats so I started to record myself on them to demo. One night in Hollywood a few years later I met will.i.am of the Black Eyed Peas and he liked my work and invited me to get on a couple records with him on his Songs About Girls album. Shortly after that, I toured with him internationally in 2007. I continued making solo records as an artist, got the attention of Perez Hilton who took me on as an artist on his label, and we got a label deal with Interscope in 2010.

UTA Signs ‘Cut Throat City’ Actor Kat Graham
UTA has signed actor, musician, activist and entrepreneur Kat Graham (Cut Throat City) for representation in all areas.
Graham will next be seen starring opposite Ryan Phillippe and Jim Gaffigan in Vertical Entertainment’s thriller Collide, which is slated for release in August. She will also soon appear opposite Tom Hopper in the Netflix rom-com Love in the Villa, which is set for release the following month.
Graham’s recently released projects on the film side include Paramount’s thriller Heatwave, Netflix’s holiday pic Operation: Christmas Drop with Alexander Ludwig and RZA’s crime drama Cut Throat City with Ethan Hawke, Wesley Snipes, Terrence Howard, and Eiza González. She’s also been seen in such titles as Emperor, The Poison Rose, How It Ends, The Holiday Calendar, All Eyez on Me and Where’s the Money, among others.

Graham made history on the TV side as April O’Neil in Nickelodeon’s Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles—becoming the first African American to voice the character between 2018 and 2020. She’s also been seen on The CW’s The Vampire Diaries and will reprise her Rise role in an upcoming Netflix film, slated for release on August 5.Graham recently released the new album, Long Hot Summer, and announced a global pride tour—both, in partnership with GLAAD. She serves as a council member for that organization, and holds additional titles as an ambassador for Rotary International and a governor for the Recording Academy’s Atlanta Chapter. She serves as a Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations High Commissioner of Refugees, and was also behind At Risk Youth, a PSA short film examining the Black Lives Matter movement, which earned an Emmy nomination.
Graham currently serves as the international ambassador for L’Oreal and has also served as the face for companies including Foster Grant, Ford, Samsung and Nivea and more. Kat komt met nieuwe album
Kat zal in samenwerking met Glaad een nieuwe album uitgeven om zo op te komen voor de LGBTQ gemeenschap. Het album zal Hot Long Summer gaan heette, hiervoor zal ze ook op Tour gaan en op 3 augustus in Amsterdam optreden.
Actress, singer, dancer, and producer Kat Graham has just released her new album in partnership with GLAAD, Long Hot Summer. Following the disco-tinged album Love Music Funk Magic and the NFT album Toro Gato, Long Hot Summer is a return to her roots in the West Hollywood LGBTQ+ nightclub scene.
Co-produced with Jean-Yves “Jeeve” Ducornet and featuring 80’s beats and pop synths, Graham’s new dance-pop album is a gift back to the community that embraced her before she gained popularity on the hit series The Vampire Diaries. As Graham says herself, “Especially in partnership with GLAAD, I am beyond excited to celebrate the LGBTQ Community and bring awareness to this incredible organization. We are going to bring the house down!”
Following the album’s release, Kat Graham will be kicking off her world tour to help raise awareness and money for GLAAD, an organization working in digital media, entertainment, and news to support and promote LGBTQ+ equality.

Het stel begon in 2017 met daten. Hoewel Genet ook als regisseur betrokken is geweest bij een aantal afleveringen van The Vampire Diaries, is dit niet de plek waar het stel elkaar heeft ontmoet, schrijft People. Wel zou dit op „een set” gebeurd zijn.

Ryan Phillippe (Crash, Flags of Our Fathers), Kat Graham (Cut Throat City, How It Ends) and Jim Gaffigan (American Dreamer, Troop Zero) will topline Collide, a thriller from Vertical Entertainment, TPC and Robert Ogden Barnum, which recently wrapped production.
The film written and directed by Mukunda Michael Dewil (Retribution, Vehicle 19) is billed as is an edge-of-your-seat, noirish thriller where three interlocking stories hurl towards an explosive end. It follows an ensemble of characters whose paths intersect over the course of a single evening inside an L.A. restaurant.
David Cade (Lansky), Dylan Flashner (The Card Counter), Drea de Matteo (The Sopranos), Aisha Dee (The Bold Type), David James Elliot (Heart of Champions), and Paul Ben-Victor (Daredevil) round out Collide‘s cast. Barnum and Lucas Jarach produced the film, with Daniel Baur, Luke Daniels, David Gendron, Russell Geyser, Rich Goldberg, Peter Jarowey, Ali Jazayeri, Joel Michaely, Rick Sasner, Greg Thompson and Viviana Zarragoitia exec producing. Vertical plans to release it later this year.
Collide is the second film to be fully financed by Vertical and TPC following Spencer Squire’s Abandoned. Barnum also produced that horror pic, which will likewise be released later this year. In addition to Collide, the longstanding relationship between Vertical and Barnum has produced the theatrical and digitally-released films Body Brokers, Lansky, Drunk Parents and The Neighbor.

Kat gecast in nieuwe Netflix film ‘Love In The Villa’
Kat is gecst in de nieuwe The Umbrella Academy star Tom Hopper and Kat Graham are set to star in Netflix film ‘Love in the Villa’. Opnames van de film zullen plaatsvinden in het Itlaiaanse Verona. Media 2022 zal de film op de streamingsdienst verschijnen.
The Umbrella Academy star Tom Hopper and Kat Graham are set to star in Netflix’s Love in the Villa. Mark Steven Johnson will write and direct, with Margret Huddleston and Stephanie Slack producing through their Off Camera Entertainment banner. Johnson will also produce.
The film follows a young woman who takes a trip to romantic Verona, Italy, after a breakup, only to find that the villa she reserved was double-booked, and she’ll have to share her vacation with a cynical (and very good-looking) British man. Production will start this month in Verona and the film will premiere globally on the streamer in 2022.
“Now, more than ever, people need some love and laughter in their lives. Everyone seems so divided these days. But in the end everyone wants the same thing — to love and to be loved,” Johnson said. “That’s what movies like Love in the Villa are about.”
Hopper recently finished shooting Season 3 of The Umbrella Academy reprising his role as Luther. On the film side, he was recently seen opposite Ryan Reynolds in The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard and also has Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City bowing later this year. He is repped by Management 360, Gersh, Waring and McKenna and Jackoway Austen .
Graham’s past credits include Operation Christmas Drop, Cut Throat City and All Eyez on Me. She is repped by APA and 3 Arts Entertainment.
