  • Ian bezoekt Heifer Ranch in Perryville

    Ian bezocht begin deze maand de Heifer Ranch in Perryville!

    Most know him as Damon Salvatore or even as Boone Carlyle, but this weekend Heifer International got to know actor and television star Ian Somerhalder in a new role: Animal Lover, Conservationist and Activist.

    Actor Ian Somerhalder joined a small group of Heifer staff for a day at Heifer Ranch in Perryville, Ark.
    The actor spent Saturday at Heifer Ranch in Perryville, Ark., getting to know Heifer’s mission and work. He also put in some quality time with the Ranch’s lead actors: Abu the camel and our herd of glorious goats.
    A passionate conservationist who is close to the work of Conservation International, Somerhalder delved into agricultural practices and techniques while on the Ranch tour. He has started his own foundation, The Ian Somerhalder Foundation, which “aims to empower, educate and collaborate with people and projects to positively impact the planet and its creatures.”

    Somerhalder will be honored with a Noble Globe—the award Heifer bestows on individuals who act as citizens of the world, seeking to bring dignity and hope to those affected by environmental degradation and poverty—for his work to create sustainable change at Heifer’s third annual Beyond Hunger: A Place at the Table gala in Los Angeles August 22.

    Danielle Campbell en Ian Somerhalder waren gisteren aanwezig op de 2014 Young Hollywood Awards in L.A. Hoewel Ian niet de rode loper op ging mocht hij wel de Best Threesome Award in ontvangst nemen.

    Ian Somerhalder, Kat Graham, Matthew Davis, Nina Dobrev & Paul Wesley waren aanwezig op de San Diego Comic-Con dit weekend om hun serie ‘The Vampire Diaries’ te promoten. Daarnaast bezochten enkele castleden nog enkele andere events tijdens de conventie samen met Phoebe Tonkin.

  • Welke castleden gaan naar Comic Con?

    Het is bekend welke castleden er eind juli naar de San Diego Comic-Con gaan ter promotie van ‘The Originals’ en ‘The Vampire Diaries’! Nu alleen nog drie weken wachten…..

    Voor ‘The Originals’ zullen dit Joseph Morgan, Daniel Gillies, Phoebe Tonkin, Charles Michael Davis, Leah Pipes en Danielle Campbell zijn samen met executive producer Julie Plec en co-executive producer Michael Narducci. En voor ‘The Vampire Diaries’ zullen Nina Dobrev, Paul Wesley, Ian Somerhalder en Kat Graham aanwezig zijn samen met executive producer/writer Julie Plec fans te word staan tijdens de panel!

  • Ian in Shanghai

    Ian was eerder deze maand in Shanghai, China. Hier bezocht hij een fan meeting en het Shanghai Film Festival. Tijdens zijn vlucht bezeerde Ian zijn hand waardoor deze verbonden moest worden in een ziekenhuis.

    Ian was begin deze maand in Barbedos, hier werd hij door de organisatie UNEP benoemd tot UNEP’s Good Will Ambassador Announcement. Tijdens zijn verblijft bezocht hij enkele events georganiseerd door UNEP.
