  • 2×09 Plot

KATHERINE’S PAST IS REVEALED — Elena (Nina Dobrev) puts herself in a dangerous position as she searches for the truth about Katherine’s past and what her own future may hold. Knowing that Stefan (Paul Wesley) would never agree to her plan, Elena swears Caroline (Candica Accola) to secrecy. Damon (Ian Somerhalder) uses a new-found confidant to help him try to discover the real purpose and power of the moonstone. Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) and Bonnie (Katerina Graham) meet Luka (guest star Bryton James), a new student with a surprising family history.

  • Malese over “Social Network” en andere projecten

Malese Jow has come a long way since the days of singing the national anthem at Tulsa Speedway and Oilers hockey games. The little girl with the big voice at those late 1990s events is all grown up at 19, with a 10-year acting career in Hollywood.

Her resume is impressive. The little girl gets a start with “Barney & Friends” and similar fare before finding tween TV fame on Nickelodeon’s “Unfabulous,” co-starring opposite Emma Roberts (Julia’s niece) for three years between 2004 and 2007 as Geena Fabiano, a fashion-obsessed diva.

Then, Jow broadened into teen roles with CW’s “The Vampire Diaries,” playing Anna, a beautiful creature of the night who died in last season’s finale, and for whom fans are still clamoring to see come back to life.

Now, this Tulsa talent is moving into motion pictures. The part is small, but the movie is big: “The Social Network,” which opens Friday and tells the story of the college dorm-room founding of Facebook. Directed by David Fincher (“The Curious Case of Benjamin Button”) and written by Aaron Sorkin (“The West Wing”), the dark, comic drama has the pedigree of a player at this year’s Academy Awards.

  • Katerina interview met TVChick

The Vampire Diaries is off to an amazing start to its second season. Any concerns (not from this TV Chick) of a sophomore season slump have been wiped away. There are crazy doppelganger hijinx, proving that Nina Dobrev really can do no wrong, and of course some incredibly sexy vampires and werewolves (I’m looking at you Uncle Mason!) One of the characters that has really come into her own this season is Bonnie. Her witch powers are developing and she isn’t afraid to take on the vampires to protect her loved ones. I recently had the chance to chat with Katerina Graham at New York Comic Con, and she talked about Bonnie’s powers, her motivations and maybe even a possible love interest.

One thing we learned from the panel is that Bonnie’s powers continue to grow. What can you tease about where she’s going to go in the next few episodes?
They develop and there’s a positive to it and a negative to it. So you’ll be able to see both sides of that instead of just kind of this already evolved witch whose evolution kind of came out of nowhere. The five episodes kind of placed her evolution when she was with her family from last season. You get to see her dealing with her growth for the first time, really, which I think is important to see. So the good and the bad, you’ll get to see.

  • Julie Plec: ‘Niemand is veilig’

We love Vampire Diaries executive producer Julie Plec not only because she has the coolest job on the planet, but also because she’s a Twitter-loving superfan just like us. We caught up with the plucky producer to get deets on next week’s episode, “Plan B,” and ask a few fan questions. Because she’s super generous with her time, Julie also offered up even more info on all things Mystic Falls. Here are the juiciest bits from our convo!

First of all, in response to your tweet from the other day: No, if you ask Taylor Kinney to marry you, we won’t think you’re desperate. But HR might have a problem with it.
Julie: I know, right. I might get myself into trouble. It’s a tough job. But a girl’s got to do it — be surrounded by all these hot men.

So you are single for real?
    Julie: Oh, yes. For real.
