Matt Davis niet naar BloodyNightCon
Matt Davis heeft om persoonlijke redenen zijn verschijning op de BloodyNightCon Conventie in Brussel moeten afzeggen. Zijn plaats wordt ingenomen door niemand minder dan Torrey DeVitto!
Zoals jullie allemaal weten, komen we vandaag met treurig nieuws voor de BloodyNightCon Europe, en dat nieuws is dat Matt Davis niet in staat is om in Brussel te zijn dit jaar vanwege persoonlijke verplichtingen. Onthoud dat dit iets is dat kan gebeuren bij dit soort evenementen en dat de organisatie hier geen enkele controle over heeft en dat het is vastgelegd op onze website, in het gast gedeelte. We voelen ons verplicht, mede door deze annulering, omdat we jullie niet wilden laten zitten zonder de vijf gasten die we beloofd hadden, hebben we ondanks de korte tijd die we nog over hebben tot het evenement toch meteen een vervangster voor Matt gevonden: TORREY DEVITTO. We willen graag publiekelijk onze DANK betuigen aan Torrey en Paul voor hun hulp and snelle antwoorden om dit mogelijk te maken. The poster voor the BloodyNightCon Europe zal nu bestaan uit Ian Somerhalder, Paul Wesley, Candice Accola, Nathaniel Buzolic en Torrey DeVitto.

‘H20 Just Add Water’ op Nickelodeon
Claire Holt en Phoebe Tonkin’s serie ‘H20 Just Add Water’ is vanaf deze week elke schooldag (ma-vrij) om 22.10 te zien op Nickelodeon. De serie was oorspronkelijke van 2006-2010 te zien op de Australische Nickelodeon zender.
H2O is een Australische televisieserie over drie vriendinnen die door een magische gebeurtenis veranderen in zeemeerminnen als ze in contact met water komen.

Nina in ‘Let’s Be Cops’?
Nina Dobrev zou volgens de nieuwste berichten een rol hebben gescoord in de film ‘Let’s Be Cops’! De film gaat over twee vrienden die denken dat het leuk is om zich voor te doen als politieagenten. Maar hun idee mislukt wanneer ganster erbij betrokken raakt. Damon Wayans, Jr. en Jake Johnson zijn te zien als de twee vrienden in de film, Nina zou de rol van de Damon Wayans Jr personage’s vriendin spelen.
Nina Dobrev (Elena) better dust off her comedic skills, because Variety reports she’s going to star in a movie with Damon Wayans, Jr. The movie, Let’s Be Cops, also stars Jake Johnson and James D’Arcy.
Wayans and Johnson play two friends who think it will be funny to pretend to be cops. This brilliant idea fails when a not-so-fake mobster (D’Arcy) gets involved. The Vampire Diaries actress will portray Wayans’s girlfriend.
Presumably the movie will film over the summer, so Nina can get back to Atlanta in time for Season 5 TVD duties. Two years ago, she shot her scenes for Perks of Being a Wallflower in mid-May so as not to interfere with the show’s schedule.
We’ve seen Nina deliver some witty lines as Katherine on The Vampire Diaries — and recently as no-emotions Elena, too — but it’s rare to see her in a truly comedic role. We’re so used to her crying, running for her life, and just plain looking worried!
Congrats on the new gig, Nina! We can’t wait to see it!

‘The Originals’ wordt nieuwe serie op CW
Een dag na de uitzending van de aflevering 4×20 The Originals heeft de zender The CW laten weten dat het een serie wordt! En dat was ook het idee van de aflevering over de Original familie. In iedergeval Joseph Morgan (Klaus), Claire Holt (Rebekah), Daniel Gillies (Elijah) en Phoebe Tonkin (Hayley) zullen te zien zijn in de serie! Deze website zal ook helemaal up-to-date worden gehouden rondom ‘The Originals’ met het laatste nieuws, informatie, foto’s en videos ect.
Klaus fans rejoice! “The Vampire Diaries” spin-off, “The Originals,” has been picked up by The CW one day after the back-door pilot aired. Yes, that means there will be a lot more hybrid goodness to drink in week after week.
“As soon as we saw last night’s episode of ‘The Vampire Diaries,’ we knew we wanted more of ‘The Originals’—Julie Plec and Kevin Williamson have done a fantastic job with ‘The Vampire Diaries,’ which is as fast-paced and well-written as ever, and Julie has created an equally compelling world for ‘The Originals,’” CW president Mark Pedowitz said in a statement.
The Joseph Morgan-starring series finds Klaus and the Original clan down in New Orleans, where they once ruled the underworld. Now, he’s back home and competing with his former protege, Marcel, who is playing dirty and ruling the roost.
Also on board are siblings Elijah (played by Daniel Gillies), who already is proving to be an ally in the Big Easy, and Rebekah (played by Claire Holt), who in last night’s ep was still Mystic Falls bound and characteristically angry at Klaus.
And (spoiler!) there’s also a baby on the way for Klaus, which we assume will become a big plot point for the spin-off. He got werewolf Hayley knocked up during a one-night stand.
There’s also some news about some of the other shows on the network. While there’s been no word on whether or not “The Carrie Diaries” will get a second season, “Hart Of Dixie” and “Beauty and the Beast” will be back this fall.

Daniel’s film ‘Broken Kingdom’ uitgezonden in de VS
De film ‘Broken Kingdom’ waarin Daniel Gillies naast regiseur van was ook een rol in had zal op 15 mei worden uitgezonden door de Amerikaanse zender Showtime!Daarnaast zal voorafgaand van de film ook de ‘making of’ documantaire van de film op de zender te zien zijn.
“Broken Kingdom,” a film directed by and starring Daniel Gillies, hits the pay cabler in May.
The pay cabler has acquired two films from Daniel Gillies, who appears on The CW hit drama as Elijah, The Hollywood Reporter has learned exclusively.
Broken Kingdom, directed by and starring Gillies, premieres on Showtime at 8:30 p.m. May 15.
The film follows two stories as it weaves its way from the slums of Bogota to the Hills of Hollywood. A 14-year-old street girl and an American writer discover an uncommon union, while a L.A. daycare teacher does everything she can to fight the weight of a tragic secret. Gillies’ wife, actress Rachael Leigh Cook, co-stars.
Leading into Broken Kingdom is the documentary chronicling the making of the film, Kingdom Come, which will air at 7 p.m. May 15.
Gillies is best known for his portrayal of Elijah and will reprise his role on The Vampire Diaries spinoff The Originals, which airs its backdoor pilot Thursday. He returns for season two of Canadian medical drama Saving Hope as surgeon Joel Goran opposite Erica Durance.
Kingdom Come marks the directorial debut of Paiman Kalayeh and John Lyons Murphy. Kalayeh, a noted comedy writer whose credits include The Cleveland Show and Bounty Hunters, he is repped by Brillstein Entertainment Partners and Kaplan Stahler, who brokered the deal for both films with Showtime.

Elena (Nina Dobrev) makes a decision about the Salvatore brothers and faces an epic confrontation with Katherine (Nina Dobrev).
