De trailer voor Kat’s nieuwste film ‘Michael’ is verschenen, in de film zal ze de rol van Diana Ross spelen. Casting van haar in de film was vorig jaar al aangekondigd, de film zal op 23 april 2026 verschijnen in de Nederlandse bioscopen.

Nina is gecast en zal ook een executive producer voor de nieuwe erotische thriler drama ‘Night Float’, de film is gebaseerd op een eerder uitgekomen theatervoorstelling.

Nina Dobrev is set to star and executive produce Night Float, an erotic thriller drama that is being developed by playwright and screenwriter Lila Raicek, Made Up Stories and Fifth Season.

Adapted by Raicek from her play Vertebrae, Night Float is described as a propulsive exploration of desire and power, obsession and betrayal set against the dark underworld of New York City. When an alluring young woman (Dobrev) moves into hospital housing to live with her resident boyfriend, she becomes entangled with an older doctor who entices her to act as a runner in an illicit insider-trading ring.

Raicek also has series 9 Parties in the works for Fifth Season and Made Up Stories and previously adapted Liane Moriarty’s Three Wishes for Netflix and The Couple Next Door for Paramount TV. Her TV series credits include Younger and Gossip Girl. Raicek’s play My Master Builder, starring Ewan McGregor and Elizabeth Debicki, ended its sold-out run on London’s West End in July. Her upcoming play Fire Season is currently in pre-production. Raicek’s debut novel The Plunge will be published by Park Row (HarperCollins) in Spring 2026. She is repped by CAA and Jackoway Austen Tyerman.

Known for her starring role as Elena Gilbert on the long-running CW series The Vampire Diaries, Dobrev recently wrapped production on action thriller Bear Country, opposite Russell Crowe, and signed on to star in rom-com It Happened One Summer alongside Tyler Hoechlin and Virginia Gardner. Her recent film credits include Reunion, The Out-Laws, Love Hard, Redeeming Love, Sick Girl and The Bricklayer. Dobrev is repped by CAA and Lighthouse Management + Media and Hansen, Jacobson, Teller.

Sara Canning‘s guest spot on Murder in a Small Town is a full circle moment after she originally auditioned for the lead role.

“The show has definitely been on my radar because I got to read the pilot and audition. I immediately loved it,” Canning, 38, exclusively told Us Weekly about her appearance in the Tuesday, November 4, episode of the Fox series. “A good friend of mine was in the pilot and the nice thing about being in the industry is having gotten to know a lot of actors really well. I get to see a lot of them in shows that are shot locally. So it was pretty cool to get to join for an episode.”

Based on novels written by L.R. Wright, Murder in a Small Town follows a police chief named Karl (Rossif Sutherland) who investigates mysterious murders with the help of a few others, including his girlfriend, Cassandra (Kristin Kreuk). The procedural format allows the show to feature celebrity cameos such as Canning’s, who played Mackenzie in Tuesday’s episode.

Before joining as Mackenzie, Canning initially read for Kreuk’s character, Cassandra Lee.

Danielle Rose Russel is gecast in de nieuwe film ‘The All-Nighter’, opnames voor de film zijn afgelopen zomer al afgerond.

Austin North (Outer Banks), Brady Hepner (The Holdovers), Danielle Rose Russell (Legacies), Pedro Henrique (The Bear), Emily Tosta (Mayans M.C.) and Rob Raco (Riverdale) are among cast in coming-of-age adventure-horror film, The All-Nighter, which is currently in post-production.

Also starring are Happy Anderson (Mindhunter), Cedric Joe (Women of the Movement), Zaria (Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin), Maximo Salas (Runarounds), Juliette Audrey (He’s Watching) and Rosie McDonald (Happy Gilmore 2).

The film heralds from writer-director-producer Burton Chaikin of BHCFilms, who is making his feature directorial debut after making a string of shorts. Chaikin served as associate producer on CBS’ The Late Late Show With James Corden between 2016-23. Script comes from Kyle Anderson.

The logline reads: “On the final night at Camp Emberpine in the summer of 2003, the oldest campers set out on an exhilarating all-night treasure hunt, which they’ve been looking forward to their whole camping careers–but as their beloved counselors begin to disappear for real, the ‘game’ escalates into a perilous situation that endangers not only their camp but also their friendship and youthful innocence.”

The story was inspired by Chaikin’s summers spent at overnight camp. The film shot in late summer in upstate New York and it is currently in post-production, with the team aiming for a summer 2026 release.

Chaikin produces with Anthony Ramón Soto of Casavia Productions, Rachel Sacks of Waverly Road and Leo Milano and Brent Madison of Bad Little Thing.

Dobrev werd in september al gefotografeerd zonder haar diamanten verlovingsring.

White vroeg The Vampire Diaries-actrice eind vorig jaar ten huwelijk. De twee leerden elkaar in 2019 kennen toen ze beiden geboekt waren als spreker op een evenement in Florida. Kort daarna kregen ze een relatie.

De 36-jarige Dobrev en de 39-jarige White hebben de breuk nog niet bevestigd.

Camryn Manheim (Law & Order), Tyler Posey (Teen Wolf), Jamie Chung (Lovecraft Country), Noah Reid (Schitt’s Creek) and Sara Canning (The Vampire Diaries) are set for guest-starring roles in the upcoming second season of Fox‘s crime series Murder in a Small Town.

Starring Rossif Sutherland and Kristin Kreuk, Murder in a Small Town follows Karl Alberg (Sutherland), who recently moved to the quiet coastal town of Gibsons to be the new police chief and quickly learns that this gentle paradise has more than its share of secrets. As a world-class detective, Karl calls upon all his skills to solve murders that, even in this seemingly idyllic setting, continue to wash up on his shore. Meanwhile, his deepening relationship with the town librarian Cassandra Lee (Kreuk) is challenged as her career and community involvement take her in new and unexpected directions. 

In the second season, Karl’s jurisdiction expands, and he has to contend with an increased caseload and limited resources, investigating cases like a  bbody found at a local wedding between members of two feuding families; a double kidnapping that may mask an even bigger crime; a pop star who retreated to Gibsons for a quiet vacation only to be followed by a dangerous stalker; and more. 

Manheim will play Jocelyn Tait, an iron-tough, working-class matriarch, who has lived her life in the shadow of a family feud and comes to Gibsons for a “Romeo and Juliet-style” wedding; Posey is Ryan, a former party boy turned holistic health aficionado, who is desperate to leave behind a reckless past; Chung portrays Lanni Soo, a career-driven and straight-forward, Deputy Prosecuting Attorney General, who approaches Alberg with an intriguing case; Reid, who also guest-starred in Season 1, reprises his role as Tommy Cummins, the unassuming high school art teacher whose greatest work put him behind bars; and Canning portrays Mackenzie Rankin, a woman who organizes a memorial gathering following the death of her younger sister.

As previously announced, Marcia Gay Harden joins Season 2 as Mayor Christie Holman, a practicing doctor, beloved figure in the community and a consummate political operator. She has the best interests of the people of Gibsons at heart, but sometimes lets her personal interests take precedence, as she complicates life for Karl and Cassandra. Murder in a Small Town also features Bethany Brown, Marci T House, Joshua Close and more. 

Murder in a Small Town, based on L.R. Wright’s Karl Alberg series, is produced by Sepia Films in association with Fox Entertainment and Future Shack Entertainment.  Ian Weir, Amanda Tapping, Morris Ruskin and Sharon Wisnia (Mojo Global Arts), Jon Cotton, Tina Pehme and Kim Roberts (Sepia Films) and Jeff Wachtel and Jared Berenholz (Future Shack) are executive producers.  Weir serves as showrunner on the series.  Nick Orchard of Soapbox Productions (which originally optioned the book series) also serves as producer on the series.
